A television network has been doing a series on "Buying American."  It is very difficult to do this, since so  much of what we buy is manufactured abroad.  It is almost impossible, for instance, to buy a necktie that is not made in China.  The network reporter said, "So after nearly a year of crisscrossing the country as part of our Made in America journey, we remembered what economists across the board told us at the very start: If every American spent $64 on something made in America, we could create 200,000 jobs right now. That might sound like a lot to spend until we heard that the average American spends $700 on Christmas or holiday gifts."

In hearing this, it occurred to me that the crafts represented by the offerings at our Folk School and sold at the Work of Our Hands "Artists Market" are all made in the U.S.  They are all hand-made, unique and original art, reasonable priced.  Many of the artists who teach at the Folk School, display at the Artists Market and others have web sites and sell their work.  At our own web site we would like to provide a link to their websites where people can see and buy American originals.  Let us know if you have a craft webside you would like us to promote.  We will include it on our "New and Networthy" page.
